Ah, my first blog post. After only a little trepidation, I decided to give this a shot. Partially because I feel a need to understand blogosphere, partially because I know you all have something worthwhile to say, and partially to add my own two cents to the conversation.
What conversation? At this point, with this blog, it's the conversation about what we do and where we're going. And, in the spirit of a living-learning-laboratory, the blog itself becomes part of the learning process.
So, expect me to stumble, try new things, make assumptions that I know what I'm talking about when maybe I don't, posit ideas just see how you will react and generally attempt to discover.
Post away, kids. And keep on rockin in the free world.
RPK
I'm fairly new to blogs, too. I have one. I won't link to it because I haven't updated it since my son's birthday earlier this year.
We have recently installed WordPress on a spare Web server and I'm trying to figure out how to organize a newspaper blog with many bloggers.
My ADD kicks in, though, when reading through the docs so we haven't gotten very far.
Oh, and the fact I'm doing it at 9 p.m. usually after I put my three and four years old to bed doesn't speed up the process.
Rock on.

We used Moveable type at SeacoastOnline.com and it has been fairly successful. We have over 15 bloggers and they are quite good. Very opinionated, informative, and entertaing. Check it out at http://www.blogthecoast.com

Bob:
"keep on rockin in the free world"????
Next thing you know, you'll be spouting: "Four dead in Ohio. Four dead in Ohio. Four. ..."
Or: "Bruce Berry was a workin' man ... a sparkle was in his eyes, but his life was in his hands."
Or: "Oh to live on Sugar Mountain, with the barkers and the colored balloons. You can't be 20, on Sugar Mountain, though you're thinkin' that you're leavin' there too soon."
Or something like that. Unless, of course, I have the reference to "rockin' in the free world" totally incorrect. My quotations may not be totally accurate either; I apologize in advance.
Anyway, we too use Moveable Type - though I may have to upgrade the license soon, as I am adding a few new bloggers to our current, very limited stable. I have had a blog for two years at the Times.
That is all.

Nice Bob. Shall I link the NENMA site to this?

RPK,
Great idea. We could really grow the size of this group and make a huge impact. I'm interested in crating an environment that requires us to stretch the world as we know it and create the world as we see it. If we wrap our minds around improving the web this talented group and this blog could really move the needle.

Yo Dude...if you're going to keep us "coming back for more" you're going to have to post more frequently. ;-)
Sorry I missed your call yesterday. Give me a ring, lets talk shopping.

Just thinking -- Bob's Blog is a cool title. That's how I bookmarked this site. ;-)
